Move your .no domain and VPS onto one platform. Norwegian support, smooth transfer, and fast launch.

Developer documentation

APIs and integrations

Everything you need to connect your own systems to your OVIT Cloud services: direct access to web hosting and VPS, the addresses to point your DNS at, and the way onward to Stream Sky's own API.

Streaming

Stream Sky has its own developer documentation

SRT publishing, mirroring to Twitch and YouTube, scene switching and control of the OBS box are documented on Stream Sky's own pages. You create keys yourself under Developers in the client area there.

Web hosting for developers

You get a shell, a database and a certificate that renews itself.

SSH and SFTPport 22
PHP8.3
DatabaseMariaDB 10.11
SSLLet's Encrypt, automatic
# File transfer
sftp username@ovit.cloud

# Shell
ssh username@ovit.cloud

# Database (from the server)
mysql -u username -p database_name
Use SFTP, not FTP. Plain FTP on port 21 is deliberately closed from the outside — clear-text passwords do not belong on the internet. SFTP runs over the same port as SSH (22) and needs no extra setup.

VPS

Full root, your own operating system, console in the browser.

The IP address and root password arrive in the welcome e-mail. You control the machine from Client area: start, stop, reboot and console — handy if you lock yourself out of SSH.

ssh root@YOUR_IP

# The first fifteen minutes on a new machine
passwd
apt update && apt upgrade -y

DNS and domains

If you point your domain here, these are the values you need.

A record (web hosting)136.148.132.11
Name server 1ns1.ovit.cloud
Name server 2ns2.ovit.cloud

For .no domains registration, transfer and name server changes go through Norid. Everything happens in the domain control panel in the Client area — we are an authorised registrar, so you never need to deal with Norid directly.

Name server changes do not take effect immediately. Allow up to a day before every lookup around the world points the right way.
